Visited our club on 5th January 2012 with his son who lives in Shardlow (the next village
to Castle Donington). It was his the first visit to the U.K.

Santa's Sleigh Collection

The Rotary Club of Castle Donington visited all areas of
Castle Donington, Shardlow, Hemington, & Lockington
with Santa's Sleigh, Santa and his helpers collected
a grand total of ..............£3239.95........................

A great achievement !
Last years total was £2734.43.
These funds will be dedicated to local projects.

We are delighted to welcome a new member to our club.
Ian Ratcliff was inducted to the club on Thursday15th December.
Ian is in Management Accounting and lives at Holbrook Derbyshire.

Richard Hopkins has recently moved to Castle Donington
from Lougborough where he runs a plumbing business.

Sculpture at E.M.Airport






Our club were invited to add a design on a new sculpture on the footpath adjacent to East Midlands Aiport.
The sculpture takes the form of a rising spiral 5 mtrs. in diameter raising to 1.5 mtrs. in hight
We were asked to do a Glass Mosaic and chose to do the Rotary Wheel.
Eric Woodward,Patrick Parkes, Eddie Russell, Derek Abby,were involved in producing this
masterpiece, and after lengthy instruction managed to finish the prodject.
